Iowa Young Writers' Studio

The Iowa Young Writers' Studio is a creative writing program for high school students at the University of Iowa. Its summer offerings include a 6-week online course sequence with asynchronous workshops, writing assignments, readings, and peer discussion focused on fiction, poetry, nonfiction, playwriting, TV writing, and creative writing. The program is distinctive for being taught by Iowa Writers' Workshop graduates and for combining rigorous craft instruction with flexible online participation.
